Image DPI Converter — Set 300 DPI
Change image DPI metadata to 72, 150, 300 or a custom value. Keep pixel dimensions and download a PNG or JPG copy.
Change DPI without resizing the pixel grid
Choose a still image, enter a density and download a copy. This tool changes the stored print density while retaining the pixel dimensions, accounting for orientation. Output is re-encoded; it is not a byte-for-byte metadata patch.
300 DPI does not create missing detail
A 1200-pixel-wide image at 300 PPI corresponds to a four-inch print. Changing its metadata cannot make it a detailed ten-inch print. Use a larger original or change the intended print size when the pixel count is insufficient.
Choose the output deliberately
PNG preserves transparency. JPG uses a white background and lossy encoding. Source metadata is removed before the requested density is written, so the output does not preserve the original EXIF history. Recheck the downloaded file with the DPI checker.
