Image DPI Checker
Check stored image DPI, pixel dimensions and calculated print size. Upload a JPG, PNG, WebP or TIFF image.
Check image DPI before printing
Upload an image to read its stored density and actual pixel dimensions. The checker also calculates how large those pixels would print at 300 PPI. A missing DPI field is reported as unspecified rather than inventing a value.
What the result means
A 3000 × 2400 image contains enough pixels for a 10 × 8 inch layout at 300 PPI. The density field alone does not measure sharpness: a blurred photograph can still be tagged 300 DPI. This checks image files, not mouse sensitivity.
When no DPI is stored
Some image formats and export workflows omit density metadata. Use the pixel dimensions and intended print size to calculate effective PPI. If a print workflow requires a stored value, use the DPI converter.
