GIF Compressor — Reduce Animated GIF Size
Compress an animated GIF by reducing its palette. Preserve animation timing, compare actual file sizes and preview the result.
Reduce the color palette
Start with 128 colors and compare the animation with your original. Simple graphics often tolerate fewer colors; photographs and smooth gradients can show banding. Choose a larger palette when color detail matters.
Check the actual saving
Already optimized GIFs may not become smaller. The result shows both original and output sizes so you can decide whether to keep it. For a larger reduction, resize the animation first, then compare a smaller palette.
Keep the animation
Frame timing and looping are retained. The tool does not promise lossless palette reduction or a fixed percentage saving. It accepts a maximum 10MB, 200 frames and 40 million pixels across the animation.
